WanderDash Family — Product Spec

Product family: WanderDash 27" 4K display products — identity-aware, privacy-first information + command-center displays. Revision: v1.0-candidate (SOP v2 artifact-complete) Date: 2026-04-24 Ship target: 2028-Q1

WanderDash is the first 27" 4K display family designed for the places mainstream digital signage leaves behind: DV safehouse reception desks, LGBTQ+-affirming clinic check-in, community center info kiosks, family command centers, HAVEN field deployments, and identity-aware home/clinical informatics displays.

What makes WanderDash different from Dakboard, Samsung, or Amazon Echo Show:

Why two tiers + one platform

Kiosk and Smart Screen share:

Smart Screen adds: touch, premium cover glass, Coral TPU, WanderVerse-IP PCB, tool-less service panel, tamper-evident seals, RAM upgrade option. It is a genuine premium tier, not a trick-paint upsell.

Dual-mode architecture (per `_STANDALONE-AND-PLATFORM-INTEGRATION.md`)

Mode 1 — Standalone: Plug in. First-boot via on-screen setup wizard. Web + iOS + Android companion apps. Works as a full-featured wall display with no other WanderVerse purchase. Matter controller (if SkyConnect installed), HomeKit-compatible, Google Home-compatible.

Mode 2 — Industry-integrated: Full Home Assistant OS under the hood. Home Assistant Dashboard pre-configured. Apple HomeKit bridge. Google Home integration. Samsung SmartThings integration. Grafana/InfluxDB + iperf3 speedtest + Plex + Jellyfin optional. DakBoard-style magic-mirror layouts available as WanderStore install (for users migrating from DakBoard).

Mode 3 — WanderVerse-native: Unlocks when paired with WanderNode Hub / WanderRouter / WanderBand / WanderCam / WanderSense / WanderStation. Identity-aware defaults flow from WanderOS profile. Covert-mode trigger is a cross-device signal. Panic button hits HAVEN network + trusted contacts + duress protocol. WanderSense presence data drives display state. WanderBand band-as-auth unlocks the display at glance.

---

The identity-aware-default feature (unique)

When a face is detected (Coral TPU on Smart Screen; ambient + NFC + BLE on Kiosk), the display: 1. Checks device identity against the enrolled household / clinic / safehouse profile 2. If the identity is enrolled AND the environment permits (household = permit, clinic = permit in intake rooms, safehouse = permit only if authenticated and environment is secure), display identity-aware default 3. If the identity is NOT enrolled OR the environment is covert-flagged, display neutral-mode content (weather, news, generic info — no private household / medical / safehouse data) 4. Covert-mode also triggers on: duress-unlock sequence, panic button press, WanderVerse ecosystem signal (e.g., stranger-at-door detection), or time-of-day config

This is the feature Dakboard, Samsung digital signage, and Echo Show don't have and can't ship without redesigning around privacy-first principles from scratch.

Every unit feeds the 60/30/10 Ambassador Program split:

Mission Partner subsidy pricing is absorbed via Community Pool + WWP grant income, not by squeezing Ambassador wages.
