Sensor recalibration vs structural — clarification

Recalibration cadence (NOT covered by 7-year parts; user pays small service fee)

Structural parts (covered by 7-year parts commitment)

---

Service routing — decision tree

1. User reports issue via app / phone / email

Triage by WanderBreath Support (Ambassador-staffed):

2. User can DIY

3. Ambassador send-back (5-day turnaround typical)

4. Factory repair (if Ambassador can't fix)

---

Recalibration service flow (the most-frequent service event)

SCD41 5-yr send-back cycle

1. Year 4.5: app prompts user — schedule send-back recalibration service window (next 6 months acceptable) 2. User submits service ticket 3. Ambassador ships prepaid label 4. Unit arrives at Ambassador depot 5. Ambassador batches multiple SCD41 send-backs to Sensirion factory cal facility (cost-share via batch) 6. Sensirion returns unit to Ambassador 7. Ambassador QA + ships to user 8. Cost: $25 service + shipping; total turnaround ~3-4 weeks (Sensirion batch is the long pole)

Founding Member benefit: pre-paid 5-yr SCD41 recalibration included.

SFA30 yearly send-back cycle (Pro only)

1. Month 11: app prompts user 2. Same flow as SCD41 but the Ambassador depot uses partner HCHO chamber (Sensirion or Intertek partnership) — turnaround ~2 weeks 3. Cost: $25 service + shipping 4. Founding Member benefit: pre-paid 1-yr SFA30 recalibration included

Radon module replacement (Pro)

1. Module fails 3 consecutive 4-day health check cycles 2. App prompts user 3. User options:

---

Anti-lock + repair-culture strategy

Per DECISIONS.md D-06: radon module is socketed; user can swap vendor (RD200M ↔ FTLab) post-launch.

---

Ambassador refurb program

1. Lease-end / upgrade trade-in

2. Warranty-return refurb

3. End-of-life recycling

Why we publish these

Standard 4 — Repair Culture. WanderVerse hardware should outlive the company if needed.

If you can print a replacement bezel + buy a spare OLED + follow the schematic, your WanderBreath continues to work in 2040 even if WanderVerse no longer exists.

That is the commitment.
