WanderGuard
Community security — Ring made 11 warrant-free disclosures, Flock cancelled 30+ cities, CAHOOTS $151/incident, NSGP $274.5M FY2025.
Safety & PrivacyAbout
Ring provided footage to law enforcement 11 times without a warrant or user consent in 2022 — Amazon confirmed this to Senator Markey. Ring's Neighbors tool was shut down in January 2024 after documented use for racial profiling. Flock Safety's license plate reader systems have been cancelled by 30+ cities due to civil liberties concerns. Club Q (Colorado Springs, November 2022) had reduced security staff to one person due to budget constraints the month before 5 people were murdered. CAHOOTS, the Eugene Oregon mental health crisis response model, handles 17% of calls that would otherwise go to police, at $151 per incident vs. $800+ for police response. NSGP (Nonprofit Security Grant Program) awarded $274.5 million in FY2025 — synagogues, mosques, LGBTQ+ centers, and clinics can get up to $150K for security infrastructure, but most never apply because they don't know it exists. WanderGuard is the only security system built for communities these systems have failed — no warrant-free sharing, no law enforcement integration by default, no surveillance capitalism.
