A Quick Update

Blog is officially live. Never really done this before, so bear with me while I figure it out.

Three things I'm planning to do with this space between now and departure.

Rwanda Facts and Context

A lot of people know about the genocide in general terms. The specifics, the history that led to it, and what the country looks like 20 years later are worth more than general terms. I'm going to try to post things I'm learning through coursework and independent reading that help put the trip in context. Not a history lecture, just stuff I think is worth knowing.

Trip Prep Updates

Gear, fundraising, logistics, vaccinations — the behind-the-scenes work that goes into pulling off a 19-day trip to East Africa. It's more than I expected. I'll keep people posted.

Your Questions

If you have questions about the trip, about Rwanda, about the program, send them over. I'll do my best to answer here.

That's it. If there's something specific you'd like to see covered, let me know.
